It’s so hard, to say good-bye
I was reminded today of why I changed my mind as a kid when I wanted to be a vet. We had to put our cat down today and it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. We had a dog and 3 cats growing up and Thunder was our last. We never got to say good-bye to the first 3, but never had to make the decision to put them down.

Thunder was my baby. He was my love. According to “dictionary.com”, a pet is refered to as “any domesticated or tamed animal that is kept as a companion and cared for affectionately.” That’s what he was. He was a companion…always wanting to sit in someone’s lap and just wanted to be with someone. My heart would smile when I would come home from wherever I was living at the time to visit and I would see him in my room…as if he was waiting for me to come home.
I will miss him dearly.
Sorry to hear that you had to put him down, that is very hard. I cried for several days when we had to give our Husky to another family, I couldn’t image having to put her down. But you have to remember he lived a good life and now he is pain free.
