Not Picked Last in Kickball
SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 13-15; John 15
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last.
~ John 15:16
OBSERVATION:
This goes quite nicely with yesterday’s devo. Just let this sink in for a moment: we didn’t choose God…He chose us. In spite of our iniquities, in spite of our selfishness, in spite of our tendency to wander – God chose us. And He chose us to be fruitful and live lives that reflect the fact that we are children of the one true King.
APPLICATION:
I just cannot fathom that God chose me. With everything I’ve done, with everything I continue to do, He still loves me.
PRAYER:
Your ways are higher than mine and Your thoughts are greater than mine. Thank you for loving me and choosing me to be Your child. I lift this up in Your Son’s name, Amen.
