Me of Little Faith

SCRIPTURE:
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. ~ Matthew 8:26
OBSERVATION:
We say we have faith in God, yet when we are tested and tried, our true faith reveals itself. The disciples, who were constantly exposed to Christ and what He could do were scared of a storm. What is Jesus doing? He’s sleeping! God sees the big picture. If He is calm, cool and collected, we should be reassured things are going to be okay. If He’s angry or upset, we better watch out. When we put our faith in Christ, we must act like we have.
APPLICATION:
Oh how I can be convicted of this. I say I believe God will do this and have faith that He will, but when I am paralyzed by my fear, I’m not showing that faith.
PRAYER:
Father, I strive to show You every day the faith I have in You. Give me the courage to continue and forgive me for when I fail.
