Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to those who search for it. ~ Proverbs 11:27
OBSERVATION:
God finds joy in us when we look for the good. But if we want to find evil, we’ll find it.
APPLICATION:
A lot of things in life are all about perspective – how you look at things. I tend to be more on the positive side. I try to find the good in every situation and focus on that. The scary thing, though, is that if we want to find evil, if we want to find sin, Satan will gladly point these opportunities out for us. He wants us to search for it. He wants us to fall further and further away from the Lord and the truth. But in every situation, I believe God gives us something that is good. It may be super small, but it’s there. It may seem insignificant compared to the tragedy that just happened, but it is there. We just need to search for that.
PRAYER:
Thank you for the little stuff, Lord. For the small positive things that keep me hoping and trusting and believing that everything will work out for Your glory.
