SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 13-14; 2 Chronicles 25; 2 Timothy 3
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the men of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17

OBSERVATION:
The Holy Bible is a fascinating book. From the stories it tells to even the validity of the authors. There are a few things, however, that cannot be denied nor argued. From this book, you can learn. You can learn about history, learn about the nature of people, learn about the nature of yourself. And if you let it, the Bible will transform you.

As far as being God-breathed, meaning the true Word of God, many will debate. There was a process, a part of theology that explains how we not only received the Bible, but how the books were chosen. I don’t fully understand the process, but faith doesn’t require complete understanding (thank goodness!) To those who question, I say, “Give it a shot. You have nothing to lose, and yet so much to gain.”

APPLICATION:
When I began to actually read and study my Bible, I began to learn a lot about myself. I thought I couldn’t learn much from the Old Testament and thought it was ancient history. But Moses pointed out some of my weaknesses and the Israelites taught me about human nature (which really hasn’t changed over the thousands of years). I want to do good works, I want to be equipped, but in order to do these as a woman of God, I must keep myself in training. I need to stay connected to my teacher, my coach.

PRAYER:
Father God, I am in a continual state of learning and changing. I want to be the woman You created me to be and to do the work You created for me.
